This apartment is very well situated for sightseeing on foot as all the most important monuments and sites of the historical centre are within a 1 kilometre radius.
You can visit the Thyssen Museum of Málaga, which is located 500 metres away, a museum dedicated to Spanish painting of the nineteenth century and beginning of the twentieth. It houses great examples of the styles that were in vogue at the time such as Costumbrismo and Romanticism. It also has a small exhibition of masters of earlier centuries, which is well worth visiting.
Plaza de la Constitución is just 450 metres away. From here the main street of the city leads off: Calle Larios, a commercial street offering renowned brands and all types of businesses. We recommend stopping at Casa Mira to try some homemade ice-cream. From this street you will reach the Cathedral, locally known as La Manquita (one-armed) as it only has one steeple. The Cathedral of Málaga is located in a delightful and historic area. You can stop at Plaza del Obispo, where the main door to this site is located, and have a cold drink whilst admiring the beauty and grandeur of the Cathedral. The other entrance door is located at one of the sides, along Calle Císter, a beautiful pedestrianed street that is full of trendy bars such as Doble Uve, where you have a wonderful meal and try wines from nearly everywhere in the world.
If you walk down Calle Nueva, 850 metres away from apartment Cofradías 2 Bed, you will discover one of the most commercial streets of the city, parallel to Calle Larios, and you will get to local market Mercado de Atarazanas, which is very popular not only for its marvellous Mozarabic architecture, but also because locals and visitors sit at the terraces there and have some tapas made from fresh local produce. If you carry on down you will reach Plaza de la Marina, which is in between La Alameda Principal, where all the city bus stops are, and the Park of Málaga. Directly opposite you will see the Port of Málaga, with the Málaga Eye situated to the side, and Muelle Uno at the end, a new concept of a commercial centre al fresco.
La Malagueta Beach is located 1 kilometre from the apartment. Train station María Zambrano is 2 kilometres from the apartment and the airport of Málaga is 14 kilometres away, which equates to about a 20 minute drive.
