Apartment for rent Premium Molina Lario 2 (Malaga)
This apartment Premium Molina Lario 2 is situated in a superb location, as from here you can visit all the monuments and sites of interest and because it is located in Calle Molina Lario, which houses the Cathedral of Málaga, locally known as La Manquita (one-armed).
In any city a cathedral is always important, but here in Málaga it is important in more ways than one. Not only is it a religious building, it is also a culture reference, a milestone, a landmark and a witness to many events. The façades of the cathedral are known as Las Cadenas, which is opposite the Palace of Zea-Salvatierra with its gardens and orange tree patio, the main one which is Plaza del Obispo, and El Sagrario, although it is not integrated in to the Cathedral.
At the foothills of Mount Gibralfaro is the Alcazaba (400 metres from the apartment), a Nasrid-style Muslim fortress built in the eleventh century. As all Arabic constructions from the era, it is renowned for its integration in the environment, and for the ambience of peace and tranquillity within its walls. The lush vegetation and the water channels that plough the soil cool you down even during the hottest summer’s day. At the foothills of the Alcazaba you will find the Roman Theatre, which is well worth visiting. You can even attend a show al fresco. Do not forget to stop opposite here at the most famous tavern in Malaga: El Pimpi, offering tapas and local wines.
The Park of Málaga, 300 metres away, is a subtropical botanical garden, the earth of which was recovered from the sea. To walk along here is one of the most pleasant strolls to take right in the centre of Málaga. This small forest offers shade in summer and peace amongst the streets where cars abound. Inside the park / avenue there are several nymph statues, a small outside theatre and a donkey in the shade. It is very popular amongst locals and it is one of the vastest green areas in the city centre. Right next to the park you will find the Port. We recommend taking a walk along El Palmeral until you reach Muelle Uno (950 metres away), which is the new commercial area next to the Port, in between La Malagueta Beach and the city centre. It is full of shops and it is an al fresco commercial area that offers a shady and refreshing walk in summer before making your way to the beach. The best part of it is the view of Málaga and of the sea from here.
The airport is approximately 10.3 kilometres away from apartment Premium Molina Lario 2, which is a 15 – 20 minute drive.
As you can see, Málaga has many places to visit and the best things about this city are its atmosphere, both in the daytime and in the evening, and its people. More than just a city to visit monuments, Málaga is a place to truly be enjoyed.

FEATURES OF THE AREA
The historical centre of Málaga gathers most of the monuments of the city. Many of the streets that make it up preserve their original Moorish outline and, by wandering through them, you can find a wide variety of churches, convents and palaces. The architecture in the area echoes the industrial development of the nineteenth century.
Calle Larios is the heart of the activity within the historical centre and also a cultural and economic reference. This street, plus most of them that lead off from here, are pedestrianised and they have a wide selection of shops. The atmosphere is very lively here, both in the daytime in restaurants and on the terraces, and the nightlife in the bars and clubs. It is the ideal place to do some shopping as there are many clothes and craft shops and delicatessens.
We have put together a food itinerary which we hope you will enjoy as much as the locals do:
- - Start off your day by having breakfast at Casa Aranda and try some churros with hot chocolate, or a local-style coffee (mitad, nube, cortado) with a pitufo.
- - Have a noon snack at La Casa de Guardia, where they serve traditional local wines.
- - Have lunch at Los Mellizos, renowned for its paellas and fresh fish.
- - A must-visit is Casa Mira, an ice-cream parlour along Calle Larios. It is famous for its home-made ice creams, the most renowned being turron flavour.
Finish your day by having dinner at El Ambigú, at the foothills of the Alcazaba in an area called La Coracha. From this magical place you can contemplate the Málaga Bay, the Alcazaba lit up and the whole park. It is simply spectacular.
