You can start your experience from apartment Duplex Carretería by visiting the best museums in Málaga: The Thyssen Museum, just 350 metres away housing a collection of 230 works of nineteenth-century Andalusian painters, or Picasso’s Birthplace Museum, which is 600 metres away and celebrates the life and works of the most famous local artist. It has recently added to its collection and now has an exhibition of 233 works of arts.

The fortress of the Alcazaba is 700 metres away and at its foothills is the Roman Theatre, where shows are held throughout the year. The Castle of Gibralfaro is also nearby and tickets are free on Sundays from 2pm.
We recommend paying a visit to local market Mercado de Atarazanas, which is 750 metres away from duplex apartment Carretería Deluxe and dates back to the fourteenth century. The edification was built by the Moors as a shipyard and, in addition to its fascinating history, the market boasts a fabulous ambience and you can find all types of local produce here: olives, olive oil, fish, fruit, fresh vegetables, etc. You can also have some tapas or dinner at any of its terraces which serve great food combining tradition and modernity.
If you would like to enjoy a pleasant walk to remember, you should take a stroll along the Port, 1.4 kilometres away, until you reach the end where Muelle Uno is located, a new concept of al fresco commercial centre with dozens of bars, shops, restaurants, ice-cream parlours, etc. 200 metres from here the promenade of La Malagueta Beach commences, where there are beach bars serving the renowned skewered sardines and fried fish.
