WHAT TO DO IN THE AREA

Be prepared to eat, drink, laugh and get to know one of the most exciting cities of Andalusia. In between one tapa and another you will find many historical monuments spread around the city, such as the Alcazaba or Roman Theatre, two sites to see in Málaga.

This Andalucian city breathes in art from all sides. It is the birthplace of famous painter Pablo Picasso and houses one of his most important collections. The Picasso Museum takes you through all of the eras and styles of the artist. Every Sunday and during the last 2 hours before closing time tickets are free. The Contemporary Art Centre is free every day of the year at all times. The building which houses this centre was an ancient wholesale marketplace. It is one of the most highly regarded museums in Spain and another must-visit. And from museums we move on to the “Cathedral of the Copla”, another name for tavern El Pimpi. This confined space brings joy to anyone who steps inside. So much so that people queue up to get in. It might be because of their generous portions of food or because of the stories told by the walls inside. This establishment has remained the same for 60 years.

The Gibralfaro Castle, which dates back to the year 929 B.C., is yet another of the city’s emblems and a site that must be visited. In fact, the image of the castle is pride of place on the city’s flag.

What will be on the top of your list once you have left the airport behind? We offer you the best accommodation and welcome you with open arms to the city, and you create and live your own experience.
